LIVING CLASSROOM DOCENT TRAINING
Mondays 12/16, 1/13, 1/27 & 2/3
Los Altos School District iLearn Studio
201 Covington Road, Los Altos
Please join us from 9-Noon on Mondays 12/16, 1/13, 1/27 and 2/3 at the LASD iLearn Studio for training on our winter lessons! New docents and any continuing docents who would like a refresher on our winter lessons are invited to join us. Please RSVP if you plan to attend! Bring a friend!
We welcome and encourage you to join our teaching team anytime and become part of a fun and supportive community dedicated to connecting kids with nature and nurturing our future environmental stewards! No gardening or teaching experience necessary as we teach you everything you need to know.
Each year we hold three separate seasonal training sessions on our fall, winter, and spring lessons. Training takes place from 9-Noon on Monday mornings in September and October for our fall lessons, December/January for our winter lessons, and March for our spring lessons. New volunteers are encouraged to attend as many training sessions as possible. Those who have a conflict with Monday morning trainings may still train "Apprentice-Style" by observing and assisting with lessons that fit their schedule until they feel confident leading them.

GARDEN VOLUNTEERS
Want to volunteer but don't have time during the school day or prefer to offer more "behind the scene" support? Additional volunteer opportunities to help care for our school gardens during or outside of school hours are also available. Please inquire with us to learn more at livingclassroom@lasdschools.org.
Note: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all volunteers working on campus must complete a symptom questionnaire when checking in at any school site and practice regular hand hygiene. Although a majority of our lessons are held completely outdoors, masks are strongly recommended indoors and when others are present.
Check out our FAQ page for more information about our program. Still have questions? Please contact Program Coordinator Caroline Chan at livingclassroom@lasdschools.org or call (650) 947-1103.
